BDI “Star for
India” Forges a
New Frontier
True to the philosophy of “following
our customer’s business”, BDI has opened
operations in Bangalore, India effective November 2006.
Mr. Carl James, President of BDI International recently announced
the appointment of Mr. Murali Muralidharan, a recognized industry
specialist, as Country Manager of BDI India.
Said James … “As the Country Manager, Murali
will be responsible for all BDI India operations, including
the organization of BDI-India, the recruitment, development
and training for all BDI-India employees, developing the BDI-India
sales plan and strategy including the inside and outside sales
and sourcing process, supplier relations management, our logistics
plan and the operational deployment. With his strong industry
background, Murali will be responsible for building supplier
partnerships with our global distributor partners in India.”
Mr. Muralidharan is no stranger to the industrial supply business.
He holds a PHD from Case Western Reserve University plus an
M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute
of Technology.
As General Manager of Timken Engineering and
Research in Bangalore, India from 1998-2004, Murali created
and led the inception of The Timken Engineering and Research
organization in India.
The opening of BDI India is just one more example of BDI’s
commitment to support the global expansion of its customer
base and another demonstration of the company’s “World
Class, World Wide” philosophy.
